Social Media and Email Marketing

The including of social media and email marketing is vital in creating a successful brand or business in the modern day for multiple reasons. To begin with the implementation of social media and email marketing allows the brand to be spread on a larger scale and allows it to perhaps reach an audience that it wouldn’t normally find if it were something that was promoted in the public. This is because as the use of social media expands due to the newer generation growing up using them it allows those users to spread and share the event online making it reach people who wouldn’t normally see such a thing or weren’t expecting to see it or search for. The inclusion of social media is also quite important as it would allow a company, if they wish to, to do paid promotions or even free if someone wishes too, doing this could allow a brand to pay someone who has a high online following to promote or share the brand which helps it reach a larger audience bringing in more people to the event.

Above are my creations of examples of how social media pages would look for my brand/ festival, I have kept all designs within my brand identity by using the same colour palette throughout and also the same typefaces. Having social media platforms is essential for any modern day brand as it allows those who are interested in the event to either get in touch online with the social media teams or could help people connect who are interested in the event as someone may see someone’s message/comment on a post and they can then either reply or message them directly helping form relationships with both the brand and new people. I have created a number of thumbnails for what would be an ad, I have decided to keep them all quite basic and minimal by including little text to avoid them looking too cluttered and avoiding any struggle for the viewer. I created a short animated advert using adobe after effects, my aim was to create a very simple and short ad, creating a more shorter advert is important when creating an advert for your brand as a short and simple advert the viewer is less likely to skip or scroll past and creating an ad that fits in either Instagram or X or Facebook and so on can also decrease the likely hood that a person skips due to the composition of the ad been the same of a regular post so they may mistake it for a normal post but once they’ve seen it and realised it isn’t may have caught their attention and interest.

For my email marketing I have created an example of an offer that you would receive when signed up for the brands newsletter and also a poster promoting the sales of tickets, using email marketing is again an effective choice when creating a brand as it allows you to reach your customers or others if you send the email to more people to contain information, upcoming news, latest offers and include as much or little information as you like.

Again when creating these I stuck to my brand identity using the same fonts, colour palette and background image to further give a sense and feel of the festival again, I also spaced out each element as much as I could in order to keep it clear and create a clear visual hierarchy. Email allows you to promote things such as discounts like I have below, creating things like this can further promote the brand and grab more peoples attention as it shows the brand is willing to give those offers and may persuade those who weren’t interested before to become interested due to the lower pricing of certain items.
